Theodor S. Geisel, who you likely know as Dr. Seuss, was the master of manipulating words. He made up more than his share of new words, but he also understood the value of economy in word choice.
His editor once bet him that he couldn’t write a book using fewer than 50 words. Of course, Geisel won the bet.
The book he wrote was Green Eggs and Ham.
